Looks like a 10 bolt out of a F-body to me (Camaro/Firebird). What is the lug pattern? 5 on ??

5 x 4 1/2

Yeah, I think it is an F-body axle. The two mounting holes in the axle housing near the pinion is where the F-body torque bar that ran from the trans to the axle bolts plus, the small lug pattern is inductive of a car axle. I could be totally wrong, but F-body is my guess. Probably somewhere between a '83 to '92 model

Thanks DirtyLarry for taking the time to answer my question

I second that. I would say without a doubt it's a F-body rear. The torque arm mount is the give away.

5 on 4.5 though? Surely if that's a F-body rear (which I am certain it is), its a 5x4.75" bolt pattern.

Yes, that is correct. Its the standard GM "car" pattern. If I recall, its an 85+ due to disc brakes.

Re: What rearend is this?

Its a 7.5 10 bolt and probably a 28 spindle axle.

The axle saddles appear not to be welded. Hope you're not driving this...

If your gonna use a normal small block that rear end will be fine.I have seen them break around 350hp and drove hard.
