Delco Mini-Hi-tork Starters

Anyone have any good or bad experience with GM Delco brand mini-hi-tork starters? Is $61.99 a good price for a mini-starter?

Never had one but that is cheap. Look in Summit or Jeg's and their prices are even higher.

I bought a new…not reman mini starter part number 10465167 for my GEN 5 big block crate engine that I just installed in my 78 K10. The starter I used is actually a GM service replacement for 1995 to 2000 L29 454’s and late model L18 8.1L big blocks. The starter spins my big block real nice. When it starts it even makes the same cool whine noise that my 2001 Silverado with an 8.1L makes.

You can by this starter for from GMPartsdirect.com for $140. $61 sounds a little too cheap to me.

Upon further review, after reviewing the text of the Ebay ad, its not exactly a Delco-Remy starter, but "built like a Delco-Remy mini hi tork starter". No wonder it is so cheap, its an import. Almost fell for it. :D
