What have i dabbled in?
 

Problems are

1) what kind of starter do i use to bolt up to the 700r4
2) where does the trans mount bolt to (top or bottom of trans)
3) will a 69 mustang gas tank work with a 68 chevy lwb
4) dont know how to post pictures

starters dont bolt ot the trans, they bolt to the engine. the one you have now should probably work, or you might need a different flex plate.

all trans mounts bolt to the bottom of the trans. (i have never seen anything different in many years)

no idea of mustang size, but i think i have seen a thread where a mustang tank fits between the rails.

pic 1 whats missing
pic 2 & 3 how will the trans bolt up to my old trans mount i had a 350 @ 1st and replaced w/ 700
pic 4 & 5 is my flex plate in working condition or does it need to be replaced

1st pic needs the speedometer gear and housing, tranny needs a rubber mount that bolts to the tranny. th350 should have had it on it but the 700r4 may need metric bolts to mount it to the tranny.
