71 leaf spring truck rear suspention options
ok i planned on a mild 383 and a nice drop. well one thing lead to another and i just traded for a 355 long rod blown small block. so now i got to redo my suspention. id like something mildly easy to put on but welding and cutting doesnt scare me. the truck will be driven a lot with a little track time. the owner before me used to bracket race the chevy to running 7.02s in a 3300 pound car so i have a feeling im going to need a nice wide tire. ive found a few universal kits but id like something a little more designed for a 67 to 72 truck
edit: very dirty motor just exactly how i got it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...119122120a.jpg |

I would run Caltracs . They work good and you keep your drivability . Probably sound like a broken record , but they work once you figure them out .

Caltracks, adjustable shocks on all 4 corners, maybe a moon leaf in the rear, and long/light spring rate springs in the front.
