Help with tire sizes

I am in need of new tires. New engine. go figure. LOL. Anyway currently I am running 15x8 wheels with 255/60 out back and 235/60 up front. I would like to with a wider rear. Any suggestions? No, I'm not buying new wheels, right now.

I like my 275's but if I was rich like 82BlackBeast I would be running 315's ;)

You can safely fit up to a 295 on an 8" wide wheel (maybe even wider).
Some do not recommend it, but I run them on the front and back with no problems (My front 15x8, my back 15x10). So anything between your current and 295's should not be a problem.

Example:
295/50/R15
295 Represents Tire Width
50 Represents the Tire Aspect Ration (Side Wall)
The tire aspect ratio changes with tire width.
So a 255/50/R15 and a 295/50/R15 will not have the same side wall height!
R15 Represents wheel diameter in inches.

Here is a web site that should be helpful in determining the tire size you want:

i just got my rims and tires mounted
last year i had 15x8s with 235/60 and it was perfectly fine never rubbed up front, i have 245/60s now and the are rubbing on sharp turning ... as for out back i had 275/60s on 15x10s and they rubbed the sidewall when i took a big bump as for now i have 15x8s with 295s and they are perfectly clear of the wheel wells,. that was with my 5/6 drop aswell

if i was going to buy new tires (just picked up mine used 10% wear on them) id go with 235/60 and 295/50s

i am in need of new tires also.

i'm thinking either 255/60/15's all around or 245/60/15's in front and 295/50/15's in the back
