lowered 88 to 98 P/U with step side pics?

Ok so ive been a hairy sqaure body freak especially the stepsides. Love the look of stepsides. You dont have to have a stepside, Any way i was curious if any one here had the newer style fiberglass stepsides with the lowered look. Id like to see this other world. :smoke: Joined this site a lil bit ago when i got my truck, Enjoying this site and i hope you are!

I built this one back in the 90s when I was working as a dealership mechanic. It was my daily driver for a long time. Belltech 4/6 drop and 17 inch Centerline billet wheels.

Sorry for the picture of a picture. This was before digital cameras.

Well, my truck grew into my screenname. When I came up with the name around '98, my GMC was far from "1bad" still.

But thanks.

And the directionals and tires on your dad's 88?
My dad has a narrow set of those on his 91 sportside with a set of old tiger paw uniroyals. I've tried to trade him out of those rims but he won't let em go. And this from an old guy (81) who only likes cars stone stock like GM built them. ;)

His are 15.8.5 with 275/60 on the back and 255/60 on the front. Dont know the name of the rims. They are the same as Dub_X rims

Ok so is that all the lowered rigs in this part of the neigborhood? Lol ive also like how the shaved look looks on these alot more than a square cause it looks like what chevy and GMC should have done to sport trucks and stepsides! Any one with a regular bed please also share your trucks ;)

This one used to belong to a friend of mine. I took these pics during a photoshoot for Tailgate magazine back in '03.

Alongside pics from 1badgmc....I feel woefully inadequate. Yet, here's my '96 SWB Sportside. 2/4 static drop. Now has clear corners and a set of '69 Camaro "Derby" caps.

A long ways from being inadequate, but I'll take the compliment. I'd also be proud to drive that truck of yours.

Re: lowered 88 to 98 P/U with step side pics?

Don't have it anymore, but I'll attach a link to my album for ya...It was my first vehicle, which I owned for 9+ years. It was originally a factory custom conversion with the 2-tone fade paint, but I don't have any pics on the computer of it from back then. I often wish I still had it today, as it was a great truck.

I really like this truck. Very clean and simple. I think I am just a sucker for the 90's look.
