WTB "conversion" front brake hoses
 

Anybody have a new set of "conversion" front brake hoses for my 68 that they are not going to use? If you do please let me know what you have and how much shipped to 95240, thank you.

I guess I should of specified that I am doing a disc brake conversion and need the hoses to run to calipers.

I might have a set, ill try to check tomorrow. They may be oem, since i lifted mine. I think they are new IIRC

That would be great!! Post a pic of what you have, as long as they are the kind made for converting drum to disc brakes. Thank you. Should look something like this

The reason I don't want the later 71-72 or 73-87 style brake hoses is I don't want any extra couplers to get them to work. With the "conversion" style hose like the ones pictured above they will screw right into my existing brake lines. Just a little cleaner looking I guess. Thanks for the link HotRod.

Those are 73-87 style hoses that connect to the steel line thru a hole in the frame.

I think Jeff at CPP gave me a decent deal on them, and I figure they will fit in a $5 flat rate box so how about $30?

I agree, very nice jesture and deal.

BTW, I'm not positive, but I believe the hoses used for the conversions are actually 79 Camaro hoses and can be purchased at your local parts house in a pinch. I remember having a conversation with the guys at McCaughy's years ago and that fact was brought up when I asked about future replacement needs.

Also, an adaptor may be needed on hte drivers side steel to rubber connection due to a different diameter steel tubing.

I think it is BHK-R7, the picture on the site shows stainless hoses, but this kit is rubber.
