Are the diff covers for all Dana 44's the same?
 

I was looking at getting a heavy duty steel diff cover for my front axle, but the ones that come up are typically listed for jeeps. Is there a difference between the ford, jeep, GM versions of the front Dana 44's? Pretty sure that's what my 72 Jimmy has for a stock front axle.

they should be. especially d44 fronts. i know this fits your truck.

If they are arb has a nice one with a built in dipstick for the gear oil in the diff.

Tis true, but front covers are thicker than rears.
