67-72 C10 Gasser
hello anyone built a 67-72 C10 gasser? I want to convert mine to a straight axle gasser, but would like to use a drop axle and keep it as low in the front as possible, part of the reason I want to do this is to have and open area where the crossmember is now, I have a large BBC dry sump pan I want to run so converting to a gasser would look cool and solve my pan clearance problem all at once, any pics or advice would help

Re: 67-72 C10 Gasser
Not all gassers sat up high in the front,so you vision could still be authentic. Although, trucks would have more traction/weight transfer issues than cars being so much lighter in the rear.
I saw a SWB Stepside for sale somewhere recently with no engine/trans.I considered it but felt they wanted too much considering it had a '73+ bed and was really just the front suspension mod on a who knows what primered body. There are a couple photoshopped in this thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=304189 |
