67-72 C10 Gasser
 
hello anyone built a 67-72 C10 gasser? I want to convert mine to a straight axle gasser, but would like to use a drop axle and keep it as low in the front as possible, part of the reason I want to do this is to have and open area where the crossmember is now, I have a large BBC dry sump pan I want to run so converting to a gasser would look cool and solve my pan clearance problem all at once, any pics or advice would help

Not all gassers sat up high in the front,so you vision could still be authentic. Although,trucks would have more traction/weight transfer issues than cars being so much lighter in the rear.
I saw a SWB Stepside for sale somewhere recently with no engine/trans.I considered it but felt they wanted too much considering it had a '73+ bed and was really just the front suspension mod on a who knows what primered body.
