6cyl tach dash fully restored

2 Attachment(s)
I am going to complete this dash but want to give people options. One option is to send your non-tach dash to me and I will install your gauges in the tach dash and paint the needles and clean them up as nicely as possible. With new bezel (aftermarket chrome and black or woodgrain) new printed circuit, blasted and painted tins, new or nice original lens, new bulbs, and new tach harness for points (included) or hei (made by american autowire $25 extra)
470 shipped

Opt 2 I supply all gauges for 520 shipped

Opt 3 reset speedo to zero 570 shipped

First I'll take it. Money order or add 3% if paid via paypal (or pay personal as payment owed)

6cyl tach was professionally restored. Calibrated to work properly on a 6cyl. Face and tin redone.

Did you have an 8 cylinder tach made to work with a 6? I looked into that without much luck. Good for you on figuring it out. Nice way to make a scarce resource more available.

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

Can you get it to look like a stock 67 dash? w/ the lights - wiper and choke up in the right conner .I think the trim is always that dull silver no matter the package the truck came with in 67 not possitive about that. Thanks Nick

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

They don't reproduce those but I do have one that is nice other than a hole for speedwarning adjuster. I will check to see if I have another nice 67 specific bezel. I might in my pile of used bezels.

An 8 cylinder tach can be converted to work on a 6 cylinder engine? How is that done?

VA72C10 01-22-2013 02:28 PM

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

Yes, they re-calibrate it. It's pretty expensive so really works out better money wise to find a factory 6 tach but of course they are rare...

These were 8cyl tachs I knew nothing about their function so I had them converted to 6 and had the faces and tin restored at the same time.

I'm still interested, do you happen to have a good dash with no hole. I would like to keep it original, and as nice as possible. My interior is very nice and clean. I don't happen to have anything as far as core parts to give back .

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

Sorry, no good 67 bezels without hole right now. I'd take another 30 off the price and ship with a used bezel and you could possibly source one on here?

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

What year dash is this? Are you including the tach, or just the tach dash? I've got a tach dash w/no tach installed. If I ship my dash to you with everything minus the tachometer, what's the cost?

Is yours a 7 hole gauge cluster or a true tach cluster with the hole in the back and stamped hole for the tach on the inner tin and correct tach printed circuit? Do you need a new printed circuit or bezel? Wiring? Let me know and I can give you a price. I am not sure which year truck the tach came out of. But it's been professionally reconditioned and calibrated.

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

It's a 7 hole with the air gauge and tach hole empty with only the painted lines on the lenses. I'd have to pull it out to look at the circuit board to answer the question about the hole in the center of the shell for the tach. Assuming I have the real deal, what's the cost or you to spit and polish what I have + add the tach?

I won't be able to get into it for a few days and will know for sure then.

Re: 6cyl tach dash fully restored

If there are lines painted on the lens where the tach is then it's not a tach dash. It would have the numbers printed and an obvious hole that you could see through and the printed circuit wouldn't be flush on the back...it's "stepped" out for the tach to fit on the back. Sounds like you have the deluxe factory gauges with 7 hole vs. the three hole gauges with "idiot" lights for the center for oil and temp...but not a tach dash.

The option 1 is the one for converting a non-tach dash using your gauges. (470-75 discount I offered = 395)

If it were a tach dash without a tach and the printed circuit was good and I could re-use the tins that would save 125 off the price. (270)
