Quad Cab With a Twist

1 Attachment(s)
Saw this today. This is what I need to make a quad cab outta my truck!

I'm sure this has bounced around here before, but it's an aircraft tug using two GM cabs back to back. The firewalls are different and there's no place to attach the AD fenders, but one could re-create using two AD cabs.

Uh huh, yeah. But why would you WANT to re create that?

Kidding aside, that thing is kind of a ...well,...THING. Not exactly an attractive vehicle. Purposeful, yes. But attractive? No.

I think you may be onto something. I assume you are thinking of cutting the back cab off ahead of the firewall/windshield and welding an AD back on to replace the rear firewall and windshield (not sure if I articulated that very well). Then you'd have regular swinging front doors and suicide rears like on the late 90's Ram. That might look real good. You'd have your work cut out though. Lots of work. Good luck with your idea. ;)

you could always build the back cab out farther and just have a straight down windshield so it wouldnt look so thrown together, give it more of a complete look . in doing this the people in the back would even have head space instead of their head being against the glass
but thats just my .02

Here's a link to one of the coolest crewcab projects I have seen.

I think you are right! It would be great for parking! drive in /drive out and no backing:lol:

if I have driven backwards farther in my lifetime than most people have driven forwards. what am I?

You're assuming I'd want the back seat passengers facing front. Keep this arrangement and see how long before they throw up! !!

Seriously, there is such a cab on CL currently. No body or chassis, just cab. Hmmm.
