Size of stock rallys on 77 blazer
Just bought a 77 blazer 4x4 - I have 3 of the rallys what size 15 by ? - need to buy one.

Most people refer to them as 15X8 but they are actually 15X8.5
...Jeff |
could also be 15 x 7, my grandpa's '79 had 15 x 7s on it

If you look on the wheel, close to the valve stem, it will have two or three letters, such as BK, CF, UA, or XAJ, DAB, DAC, etc. What are these letters?

Ummmm, actually, in 1977, stock GM argent 2wd truck rallies would be 15x7. They were available in both 15x7 and 15x8 in the 80's depending on the tire size you ordered with them. The rallies on my 75 Gentleman Jim are 15x7 while the ones from my 86 and 87 are both 15x8. The original rim size is printed on the sticker on the door post that includes tire pressures etc, this might be a place to look or tire shops have a caliper specifically made for measuring rim widths on steel wheels that you could use on one of your old rims. Another option is use the letter code that Mike is talking about, those give size and load range for the wheel.

I've got 15 x 6.5's on my 87 van. :)
As a matter of fact, my 85 Helm's manual lists 15 x 6, 15 x 6.5, 15 x 7, and 15 x 8's. |
Since the question was about the size of the rally wheel on a 4x4 chevy blazer I would be a betting person that the only size was a 15x8, 6 lug wheel with chrome rings, chrome center caps with hole in the front caps to allow access to the locking hubs or just to look at the full time chrome caps if you had the full time option.
I'v got two sets. One on my 78 1/2 ton 4x4 pickup and another on my 91 4x4 Suburban. Bill |
Oh, brain fart. Yep, I totally missed the 4x4 part. They are 15x8's on a 4wd.

Thanks guys, that's what I needed - 15x8! The other stuff was also good to know.
