Is it possible to take of a dually bed n rear axle n convert it to put on a 1500 5 lug differential n short bed???I want to make a crew cab obs n be able to drop it since its hard to find n original crew cab n just make it a shortbed n convert it to a 5 lug...thnx in advance

Yeah it is, i did mine but it was just a single rear wheel, thread in my signature.

Ok thnx Bro...I'm going to go n take a look at a CC tommorow n it ain't a dually hopefully I can work something out with the owner

Easier to find a 14-bolt semi-floater in the right width, then convert the front to 6-lug. That would give you a nearly bullet-proof rearend so you could haul and tow without the worry. You'll still have to shorten the frame.
Easiest way is to find a half-ton extended cab long bed frame and drop all your stuff on it. You'll have to move a couple of mounts, but that's about it. I'd still use the semi-floater rearend, the 10-bolt rearends in our trucks can't take much and if you ever get in some really slick stuff and catch traction on one side, the gov-bomb is likely to blow up.
