Factory 1973 radio?
The stereo in my '73 was stolen years ago and I still have a big hole in the dash where it was. My dash has not been cut up at all, so I'd like to put a factory radio back in there. I'm not going to hook it up, I'm going to have a seperate amp/bluetooth setup so I can play music from my phone.
Question is, what exactly came from the factory in my truck? I see a few variations on ebay. A few auctions say "1973-1976", are they the same for those years? AM/FM or just AM? Did they have 8 tracks in '73? |

Re: Factory 1973 radio?
If your truck only has the center dash speaker my guess would be it came with just the AM radio.

Re: Factory 1973 radio?
Do you have the RPO sticker in the glovebox? That should tell you.
My '73 just had the hole due to factory radio dieing years ago. I picked up a radio from the board classies. Didn't have to work, just look appropriate. (am,fm, cassette if it matters) |
