Tall Skinny Tires
I'm looking for a set of affordable tall skinny vintage looking tires to fill in the wheel wells on my '62 C-10. I don't really care if they are radial or bias plys (They don't have to look THAT vintage). What is the factory tire size converted to radial? The most narrow, tall tire I can find is a 235/75. Do I have to get a military tire to find a good tall tire?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you |
Re: Tall Skinny Tires

Re: Tall Skinny Tires
The tallest bais ply truck tire for 15" 1/2 tons is the 7.00-15. This was a very popular tire size on work pickups in the 60's and 70's, and still can be ordered. They measure 29.6" tall. These tires have old school truck tire tread patterns. http://www.stausaonline.com/light-tr...transport.html

bias plys are like driving on a Groved road....I would not entertain the idea. also a nice firestone radial can be bought pretty cheap...like 93 bucks a piece. thats cheap safety if you have kids........ |

Re: Tall Skinny Tires
Do you guys use the same tire size for front and rear? My rim sizes are different, the front is more narrow than the rear.
