cab question?

I found a 60-61 c -70 with a pristine body. i know the fenders are different , and i`m pretty sure the doors are the same as a 10-30 series. does anyone know if the cab is the same? if not , how is it different

I believe the floor is flat in the center, no hump or something like that. But they will work without too much trouble.

i thought it was the same. this truck is a 60 or 61 C-70 fire truck with with 3120 original miles on it. it has been kept inside until 2 years ago. all the sheetmetal is straight and rust free, 4 or 5 bolt holes in the roof still holding the big red light on. 348 cid 4 barrel, full gauges(no tach ) not mine ,yet.

The floors are completely flat across, no hump, and there is an extra brace across the firewall/toe board area. Otherwise they are the same including the doors and hoods.

Inner fender mounts are also different, but they're just bolt ons(unlike the '64-'66).
so it's an easy swap

Re: cab question?

Inner fender lower attachment brackets are different. C10's is much shorter but bolt in the same location as the C70.

In the picture below you can see the spot welded in reinforcement bracket that has to be removed that straddles the transmission tunnel. The High Hump black section as well as the sandblasted forward section were saved from another cab. A lot of work to remove the reinforcement bracket. Also an additional hole, beside the seat on the drivers side, between the seat mount and door frame, for the vent for the power brake booster. Possibility of an additional hole for the wiring for the external fuel tank.
