January 1966 and September 1964 Chevrolet Communication Kit

Link to Ebay Auctions. These can be part of your display while at a car show. $30 for 200 slides converted to DVD at Walmart. Audio conversions, I bought a turntable to hook up to my laptop. I only buy 1963 stuff.

Communication Kits started January 1963. These kits covered the complete line of cars and trucks. Previous to that, individual Kits T-O-P, covered a single subject. In this case a single record two sided, a single film with container and some literature pertaining to specific subjects. This is the cover of the box, the example above came in.

I actually have the '66 saved on my watch list but wasn't sure what I was going to do with it if I bought it. You did a great job on yours however and I may just have to give it a shot. Thanks for sharing!

That's awesome, I'll have to get some materials for my '66 when I have the extra cash

So your saying that Walmart of all places, can scan film strips? That would be good, I got a bunch of boxes I bought years ago hoping to do this with them, but could not find anyplace to get them scanned. I have one of those turn tables so I'm good to go there.

I made an offer on the '66 set and it was accepted so I guess I'll find out about the film. Now I just need to get my turntable working...

I loved the slide show !!

The little "chime" to alert for slide advance brings back memories ...

Wait a minute ... I cant be that old ??

If you feel like passing that score on after you have your fun, give me a shout. I just watched Aero's '63 film and now I gotta get the one for '66. Too cool!:metal:

Tell you what, if you actually want the films and records I'd probably make you a pretty good deal if you'd get it all converted to a DVD for me. On the other hand, once I open it up and see what goodies are inside I'll probably want to keep it. ;) Either way, I will find some way to share.

It's your call. I can look into the digital conversion a bit if you wish.

Go ahead and do that if you don't mind. The promo materials are neat, but the main thing I was wanting was to watch the slide show with sound. Those materials would probably be better off with someone that wants them and will take care of them. I have too many kids and not enough space for all my "collectibles". :)

I should have that in about a week or so, I'll let you know once it arrives.

Got the kit in the mail today. It's very cool. There's a lot more stuff in here than was advertised. I think I'd like to hold on to it for now but I will try to get it on a DVD so I can either upload or make a copy for you. I did see the seller still has several '65 kits listed, he might have more '66's if you'd really like to get your hands on one quickly.

Re: January 1966 and September 1964 Chevrolet Communication Kit

The green film canisters seem to have the truck related stuff. September 1963 was the Communication Kit for the new line 1964 Cars and trucks. Headings I've used on Ebay to find the kits.

Chevrolet Training
Chevrolet Communication
Chevrolet Record
Chevrolet Films
Chevrolet Salesman
Chevrolet T-O-P ( these are hard to search.)December 1962 was the last of these T-O-P
You can also add the year your searching for to the titles.
September through December of the previous year would have info on the next year.
