Magazines from the 90's

I am cleaning up my shop and have a couple of shelves of Magazines from the 90's. Hot Rod, Car Craft, Truckin, probably Mini Truckin!

Are they worth anything? I doubt I will ever look at them again. Are there dealers who would purchase them as a lot?

Just wondering......

Re: Magazines from the 90's

Ive seen people sell them on ebay.Mags from 70's or older sell pretty well.I had tons of car and truck magazines from the 80's and 90's that i tried to sell ended up giving them to a coworker.I think car and truck forums kind of killed car mags.

Re: Magazines from the 90's

Aside from seeing the cars in the 70s and 60s car mags, there were ads for the new models that can be extracted and sold for good money to the right collector, if the right ads are in there. Probably the two biggest reasons that they sell on ebay and elsewhere.

Having said that, unfortunately, for the most part through the late 80s and through the 90s most cars built were crap. the kind of car advertised in a magazine isn't the sort people buy to restore, and are currently worth 5-10x what they cost new, and, probably never will be. Adjusting for inflation I doubt you will see a $120k "restored" 1992 honda civic, nor for that matter a $240k "restored" 1992 Sedan Deville 20 years from now.

Might be good for someone looking to read em, but doesn't make em valuable.
