Reduced engine power code

My 2004 Suburban 2500 just threw a code and displayed reduced engine power as it entered limp mode. I pulled over and it ran fine again. Any ideas what the cause might be? It has a 6.0 with 133k miles. I love the Suburban since getting it earlier this year but I've already had a couple of problems with it. Bought it based on reading these trucks were reliable well past 200k. Hasn't been the case so far not feeling real confident about taking it on a long trip unfortunately.

Pull and post the codes, just a reduced power code means nothing to us most parts houses will pull the codes for free we need that code before we can help you out

If you can get the codes post them up. I can walk you through diagnosing it. Its usually a pedal sensor or a broken wire near the throttle body. My 04 2500 did the same thing and it was just a pedal sensor, $30 for a used pedal off ebay and it was good to go. We own 2 00-06 Burb platforms and absolutely love them. Our 03 Yukon XL has had no problems to speak of that I didn't cause by abuse. Bought the 2500 8.1 to do the heavy hauling now and haven't looked back since. All vehicles will have problems, For the most part these trucks last forever. I have worked on several in the oil fields of West TX that had over 300k on them and still plugging along.

Thanks guys I will hopefully find out the cause tomorrow. I don't have time to try and fix it myself so I dropped it off at the dealer. Fuel gauge isn't working either. Already did the easy thing by replacing the stepper motors in the dash. All this little stuff is getting annoying guess I should expect it from a 9 year old truck.

Re: Reduced engine power code

Turned out to be a code P2135. They replaced the throttle body and the connector. Works so far but we'll see. This Suburban is the best DD I've ever had since it has room for the cargo I need to haul, has room for kids and my 150 lb Mastiff, and capable of towing what I occasionally tow. It hasn't been very reliable though which is a bummer since all the reviews I read before buying it indicated these trucks were pretty reliable well over 200k.
