91 doors on a 73 cab????
Was wondering if anyone could tell me what issues I may have with a set of doors off of a 1991 GMC Jimmy when I install them on a 1973 cab.
I am getting ready for paint and found out the doors on the cab are aftermarket replacements and will take to much work to get nice and straight, and are still not that great quality. Metal seems fairly thin. I have a beautiful set of original 1991 Jimmy door that just need a sanding and should be ready to go. I know there is a difference in the door panels, but will I run into any problems and do I have to do any changes or prep to make them work/fit? Thanks for any advice you can give. |
Re: 91 doors on a 73 cab????
Forgot a second question.....
Any issue using a 4x4 cab on a 2 wheeler? And has anyone used cab lights on a lowered 2 wheel drive short box? I have the original amber cab lights on the top of the roof and they are getting tired looking. Does anyone make clear ones or coloured ones? Can they be painted? Using this cab as it was in very good shape compared to the rusty one I removed. Just needs inside rockers repaired and it's ready to go. Thanks, |
Re: 91 doors on a 73 cab????
i put 74 fremont, CA doors on my 80 oshawa, ON can and they caused some broblems because they were 3/16" longer. other then problems like that, they will work. i was really close to adding clearence lights to my truck but figured if i really wanted to do it i would just grab a cab that has it. i need one anyways
