How low can I go on these wheels.
 

I know the rims are kind of out dated but I have new tires on them. Going to run them until they are gone. I have 295/50/15's on it and wanting to know if anyone else has this setup. Like I said how low can I go with this setup. Photos would be good if you have them.

I am running a 4/4 drop at the moment with 15x8 front and 15x10 rear with 295/50/15 on both

Not very! same setup when I bought my truck, 295's on 10" rims, you'll be riding the wheel wells on the front constantly ;)

Why dont get out a tape measure and find the space between your fenders and tires. From the pics, I wouldnt go more than 2" because you need wheel travel.

I would lose thosewheels as fast as I could and find some different ones with the ideal backspacing. You are going to kick up so much road debris with those, sticking out as far as they do, not to mention, look how close the tire is the the rear of the front fender when turned lock to lock.

Look for rims that are the same width, but with 4-5 inches of backspacing versus ZERO! LoL :) You can then use your new tires.

I would like to get another set of rims but money dictates right now. I run these tires before I quit driving it and really didn't notice rocks flipping up the side. I may just have to look on CL for a set of rims. I have also thought about looking at a set of the Wheel Vintiques Vette rallies. I will probably run the same width rim in front and rear.

If you keep those or get WV rallys the same size you shouldnt go more than a 2/4in drop. If you get the new wheels in 15x8/4in bs and 15x10/5in bs you can go as low as you want.

If I do get 15x8's for up front and put the 295/50's on then how much taller will the wheel setup versus the rear. Just trying to see if or how that affects lowering it any. I am assuming it will make the front set up a bit higher.

If you go with 8s on the front you will need a smaller tire like a 245/60/15, its about the same height as the 295/50/15 just narrower.

I guess maybe I will look into the 15x8 up front and just buy a smaller tire up front. Then I will have a backup set for the back. I think I read that another member stated that to not go any more than 4 3/4 bs otherwise you will lock up the rim into the tie rod or something like that.

4.25in max bs, 4in would be better.

Hey you got me thinking about what backspacing I had on these wheels. So while I am doing brake work I measured the rims and the have 4"bs on them. Evidently it is just the extra 2" that make the wheel stick out like it does. I figured it had alot less bs on it. So the bs seems to be right just too wide of rim.
