Tuned Headers??
Ok call me dumb but what do they mean when they say Tuned Headers?? and why more money for them ??? I have a 73 Chevy with a 350 in it I want to put headers on it but some say Tuned NO and some are

equal length runners, and they make more power... but, unless you're chasing power they aren't needed.

Just all the tubes are made equal lengths. Non tunned headers are usually made with the tubes within 4-6 inches of eachother at least the nicer ones are.

The best thing to think about is to purchase quality set of headers, so that you get what you pay for. I put a set of Cyclone headers on my 84 GMC years ago that had the ceramic coating on them. That was the best thing that I did. I eliminated the rusty looking headers and they have not failed me yet.

I have been using Hedman Elites for the last few sets due to the thicker flange and the overall quality. Very pleased with them. Tuned headers are a must for a performance engine but few are built to the level that will truely benefit from them, most exhaust systems negate any advantage they offer.

Thank-you Guys looks like just a set of headers for me not looking to race the truck just drive it ...My race days are over at the age of 60...LOL
