chevrolet 1960 apache 20
 

hi folks,
i have just joined your foram to try and gain some info on this unusual c20 truck that i am altering /repairing over in hemsby, england.
Its on paper a apache 20, or maybe c20 7500lbs model with torsion bar front suspension. I have not been about to find many of this type of chevy anywhere, was this a small run vehicle.
I am in the process of removing the front bed to install a lighter c10 (cira 1970),mainly because the wheel bearing are all u/s and also i would like disc front end, hopefully this will also give a better ride.
any info on this model would be handy, i wil post some pictures asap so that you can all see what a rotten truck i started with, and how i have progressed to date,

Hi Shaun, welcome to the forum. I'm not too familiar with the C20. Posting some pictures will probably help get some good responses.

Changing to a '71-'87 front suspension is a very common upgrade to the '60-'66 trucks. You may find the 60-66 FAQ Index helpful in rebuilding your truck. Of course we are always here to answer your questions.
