Stock 68 1/2 ton 4x4 Needs Lift - Help.
If anyone can recommend manufacturers of a 3 or 4 inch lift and any other needed equipment, I would appreciate it. MN doesnt have a lot of vintage vehicles so its hard to find around here. THanks!

No lift kits for your year of truck. Will have to piece together a lift kit. There is a thread on here done by Mr-Jack, which has a good write up on what he used to achieve his lift. Hope this helps you out.

Call Deaver Suspension.
They build new systems, and I have talked to them before about my '68 K20. www.deaverspring.com The deal with the 67-68 is that the OE springs are wider at the shackle than the 69-72 versions, so in order to use the 69-72 spring you will have to use a steal collared bushing and a spacer in each side to center them in the shackle. I am shopping for new springs right now, but I am looking for 2" or 2.5" lift. Deaver systems only offer 4" and up, so I am looking else where like Skyjacker at the moment. Member "Mt Man Chad" did a little write up on using 69-72 springs on his burb. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=456901&page=4 |

Call Skyjacker in West Monroe, LA. I have a 69 4 X 4 and a 72 Jimmy and have Skyjacker 4" lifts on both. They are awesome and ride so good. http://skyjacker.com/
I got the kit with new front and rear springs, shackles, front and rear shocks, front steering stabilizer and everthing. Make sure you ask for the frame bushings that go in the frame on the rear mount of the front springs. They do not come in the kit and they are only $25 extra |

If you find the 2.5 inch lift, please post results and info. I think 4 is too high for me too. love the history of the truck, we bought ours brand new too.
