1950 gmc grill black chrome

I have been drawn to black chrome possible for my gmc grill. I don't think this would look that great on a chevy but on the small gmc grill I think it really stand out or blend in depending on your body color. Any thoughts? Has anyone seen the black chrome process done on an older car.

Took these pics from the World of Wheels show this past weekend in Kansas City. Here's what a black grill on a chevy looks like, along with rest blacked out. It didn't appear to be the black chrome though. Looked more like the body paint was all flat, and the rest maybe a semi flat/satin.

we do a lot of black chrome on new and old stuff
we use tinted clear coat to do it.
also works on headlights, blinkers, dash inserts, etc...
i've seen the tint done to match the car
