WTB: HEI distributor for a 6 cyl
 

Looking for a good used HEI distributor (and wires) for a 250 motor.
This is a budget build so looking for something inexpensive.

Pls post pics and price including shipping to 08753.

my brother put a hei in his truck with new wires & cap then put a v-8 in it nice parts $55.00 shiped for complete dist coil & wires

I know there are 2 at my local pick a part. One is the newer syle with the coil in the cap and one old style with the coil mounted on the block. I stashed one in an import car trunk so I know it will be there this weekend when I go back. But I forgot to ask what they get for distributors. I also thought I ran across it on Jegs or Summit for like $75 new with cap and coil.

I just called them and they quoted 27.50 plus tax and no core charge, so like $30. It might change once I pull it and go to the counter but you never know (place is a joke). I usually take up the plug wires and pigtails for the connections and they will usually throw that stuff in for no extra charge. Let me know if you are interested. Im not looking to make a profit but you would have to pay for shipping and at least give me a deposit before I go and pull it.

And just to be 100% sure the 292 and 250 take the same dist right? I would hate to pull one from the 292 and have it be wrong.

I also have a newer hei unit if the one above falls through. Pulled from the motor when upgrading to a sbc. Needs cleaned. $35 plus the ride. Wires are in excellent shape also.

ok, i stopped at the post office. They quoted $18 and change for parcel post. I grabbed a med and large flat rate box but didnt have the time to see if it fits in those yet. I will check once I get off work.
