Trailing arm xmember after bagging
Tried to do a search for some info but i didn't find much..I'm going to be installing step notch on my truck and I know you have to replace or fab the existing rear xmember loop . Does any one have any pics of their custom xmember? I rather use the existing and fab up a loop than have to buy a new one .:ito:

Re: Trailing arm xmember after bagging
I didn't drop my truck enough to need one but just cut the bottom loop, where it hangs down and weld in a plate then most have a loop on top about 2" tall. Might look at clearing the cab also if your going that low.

Re: Trailing arm xmember after bagging
Thanks guys! I know I have to make the bottom of the xmember flat and the top needs to be raised i just wanted to get some ideas on how I'm going to do it. I guess many people just buy I new since no one posted any pictures.
Hey Tony I need to stop by and check your progress. I'm going to remove my cab and everything this weekend. Going to start doing the step notch and going to shave the firewall while I'm at it. Hopefully mid summer I will be done with everything except paint. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Trailing arm xmember after bagging
i have pics of mine but my photobucket is locked up for some reason
for the top i just used a piece of 6 inch or so pipe and cut it in half , measure the distance between the xmember and floor and burn it in then flat plate the bottom took longer to get the rivits out then do the work lol Posted via Mobile Device |
