Front Springs

Is cutting coils of the front springs to lower ride height bad for the suspension or is it okay to do?

It's okay if you use a cutting disc, it's bad if you use torch

Agree.

I've done 7 or 8 over a 40 year period with no issues.

My current truck has been a daily driver for 26 years and 200,000 miles with no issues.

No more than one coil, good to go.

I have done it enough times to feel confident that there will be no ill effect unless you use excess heat. I have even used a torch while the spring sets in a bucket of water when I had no other options.
