Ok guys, be honest it won't hurt my feelings. When I bought this project the grille shell was already painted black, I'm not convinced that I like it yet... What do you guys think?????

Re: Members opinions
I like t as well but would be tempted to put the emblems and grill back polished.

Re: Members opinions
Thats really going to depend on how the rest of the truck is going to look, right now in that pix I think it looks pretty sharp its got a mean look to it.

Re: Members opinions
Like it if you black out the rest of the truck

Re: Members opinions
I would really like to have a 67-68 front clip, but here in WV it is hard to find any good sheet metal that is not rotted out.

But ugly, I think. The rest looks sharp.

Re: Members opinions
If I left the grille black I guess I would have to go with a black bumper also..

Re: Members opinions
It looks good, but how would it look with the grille all black with polished headlight bezels
|
Re: Members opinions
truck looks nice. change the grille..

Re: Members opinions
Anybody want to trade a nice 68 front clip for a nice black 70 front clip. Ha Ha

Re: Members opinions
If the headlight bezels and the cross bar are bright (polished), and the bumper is chrome, then it would be appealing to me. Black demands some bling, otherwise the gloss looks out of place. I know the "Murdered" look is a style and I get it. Rat rods and their flat black is another style, that I get.
I know it would be alot of trouble to specifically polish the cross bar, but it would look like it was floating and the shiny bezels would anchor it in a sea of black. |

Re: Members opinions
I think it looks awesome...please put a black bumper on it! Maybe paint the "chevrolet" letters an accent color?!?!

Re: Members opinions
Here's an idea..
What if you left all the chrome and stainless black.. but a satin black for contrast against the shine of the body panels.. J. |
Re: Members opinions
I'm a huge fan of this look. Courtesy of the Porterbuilt FB page.

Re: Members opinions
If you keep everything blacked out, it works and looks great. If you have any major chrome at all on the front, it won't look quite right. Like a blacked out grill with a chrome bumper just looks off.

Re: Members opinions
very nice truck....it would be a lot of work but i also think the grill would look better polished out...but it kinda looks good the way it is now....your call i guess.

Re: Members opinions
I prefer the aluminum look myself, but it really all depends on what the plans for the truck are.
