Hood and Fender Alignment
I think the drivers side hinge is toast, is that what is causing the hood to bounce up from the fender?

Second question : It sits way to high even at its lowest point, any tips for lining up the fenders and hood better? |
Re: Hood and Fender Alignment
Mine is the exact same way. I just assumed my hinges were junk. I'd be interested in knowing what others did as well if it is something different so I can fix that at some point as well.

Re: Hood and Fender Alignment
It's a spring issue or in my case the hinge was so sticky the spring couldn't pull it down. A little lube and it now goes right back down where it should.

Re: Hood and Fender Alignment
There is actually a thread on here somewhere about this issue. I read it and took the advice. Fixed mine.
But, loosen the bolts holding the spring to the fender, push the front of the hood as far up as it will go and hold it. This picks up the front of the hinge and forces the back of the hinge down. Tighten the bolts. As I said, fixed mine and it looked exactly like yours. |
