Me and my cousin were bench racing at pick a part yesterday saying how cool it would be to have a old heavy hauler. For doing what ever it is that we would need to do. I would like it on a 73-87 dually platform for its modern performance by comparison, and part availability.

So how would I register the truck? Is it by the frame it is on, or by the vin on the truck.

Or how do the guys who build these trucks go for it?
