Tail lights, brake lights, blinkers........show me whatcha got
 

My truck came with only a tail light/ brake light on the drivers side and someone added blinkers at some point.

Not going back to that set up.

Inspire me......

A '54 car tail light caught my eye......thinking I could cut these into the back of the fenders.

In case you don't want to cut into anything. I've seen these type used with a small bracket mounting in the general area of the stock position. You can find them on ebay.

Or if you want to keep it original, I have a set of original tail lights & brackets I'd give you. They are good used repops I was going to use on my '50 I sold to a friend. You can have them. Picture below.

Those will look good and keep it period cool. I must have lost the one on the right side? Oops.....no turn or rt side brake. Mine was only set up as one unit from the factory and a wet left arm when it rains :)

I've got the same set of bullet tail lights that Wood1 posted on Ebay for months thinking that they really would look good on the 48.

As much as I respect Newfisher's ideas, I just flat cannot go along with the one tail light thing and no turn signals in today's world. In the yakima valley where I live if you were to stick your hand out to signal for a right turn there is a good chance you would get shot at by the car behind you because they thought you flipped them off. Half the other drivers around here wouldn't know a hand signal if it slapped them along side the head. I need bright brake, tail and turn signals on any of my rigs to survive.
