Replacement Radiator

I have a 67 GMC 3/4 ton 250 I6. The radiator leaks and if it cant be repaired I will have to replace it.

I have seen on some websites a heavy duty radiator for my truck but NAPA only has one radiator listed for my application. I could put in a 3 or 4 core design for automatics. I plan on towing with it so if a heavier radiator will fit then.....

1. will it hurt to run a heavier radiator or will it overcool the 250I6?
2. will it fit in the current location the stock radiator is in?

Thanks

If you have a o'reilly's in your area go see them, thats where i got mine and it fits good and they are cheaper.
having said that a larger one 3or 4 row will fit but you will have to have hold down clamps for that size "they are thicker". as far as running cooler the thermostat will take care of that.
hope this helps.

No such thing as overcooling. That's why engines have a thermostat.

I just bought a 4-core from Autozone online. Installed it on Sunday. They had 2 different online coupons, so I got it pretty cheap with free shipping. It has connections for automatics, but is considered universal. You don't even need to plug the trans line ports.

Fit perfect and no issues at all.

I think with the coupons I got it for $130 shipped.

Autozone 4 core is what I put in mine in Arizona. Price same as above. Good quality, believe made in Canada by Superior.

I got mine from O'Reilly's a little over a year ago for $ 194.34 . It is a 4 core, with a life time warranty. And you can not have to much radiator if you have a working thermostat.
