Hello from Oregon
Hello to all you guys & gals. My name is Kevin. This is my 70 LB that my dad ordered through the dealer in late 69. It was handed down to me in 1990 when I was 15 after sitting in our barn for 6 years. It was in pretty rough shape but I was just happy to have a rig to drive back then. He told me I could have it if I got it running & driveable so I learned a lot through trial & error & with a little help from my dad now & then. We lowered it in the summer of 91, than we started a body off resto on it doing the engine compartment, engine & trans in the spring/summer of 92. From the winter to summer of 93 we did all the body work & had our painter/family friend prime it in my dad's shop. After 2 months of block sanding we hauled it to our friends shop to have him shoot the color on it. It's been this way ever since:

NICE TRUCK!!!! Excellent color and stance. i realy like lowered long beds. And LOVE the '80's old school cragar protechs knock offs! unless those are the real deal? seriously one of the coolest wheels from the '80's imo. i had a set just like em myself on my '81 el camino that had for a bit. wishin i woulda kept em when i sold it just to have em. would die if i could find another set for my newest ride.

Re: Hello from Oregon
thats cool...the story about the wheels and the fact that you've kept them all this time. mine were a local cl find. they were 15x7 w/255-60's and 14x6 w/205-70's. the guy originaly wanted $200 and was more than willing to buy em for that but by that weekend the $ went elswhere. i thought for sure i had missed out cuz the posting was deleted a week later. anyhow, outta the blue 3 months later the guy contacted me to tell me he still had them and asked if i'd give em $150 for the set! luckily for me i just happened to have it so i jumped on that deal that day. gotta love cl. again, i'd love another set. i seriously wanna go with an 80's/90's retro street rod look with my new ride. but i'm stuck with the black wagon wheels for now.
