Loud poping noise on 06 4x4

I was driving my 06 4x4 today and when starting off at a stop light I noticed a popping noise that sounded like was coming from the right front. Went a few miles and didn't hear it again, went in Bass Pro and when leaving heard it again and then several times again before leaving the parking lot, looked underneath and couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. I was about 100 miles from home so I eased on down the road and everything seemed fine, made it home without any problem & haven't heard the noise again. any suggestions?

I had a 97 K1500 Burb that did this. Did it for the longest until I replaced the front brake calipers during a normal brake job. As I read somewhere the caliper wears over time where it moves through the spindle. Maybe that's it as mine no longer made the popping sound. Mine did have about 200,000 miles on it when it began making the noise.

272k miles on mine and it started doing this a couple weeks ago. Mostly when I turn though. My mom's Nissan did this for months and it was a control arm bushing or something like that. Front end's pretty bad anyway, so I'm just having the whole thing rebuilt.

Mine only has 58000 miles on it. I will check it out more after work today. It's the pushbutton (I really don't like) & I was thinking it may have been trying to engage, but only on the right side??? I hate noises I can't find.

Turned out to be the front hub assembly. This makes both hub assemblies now and the intermediate steering shaft needs replacing. 58000 miles.

Just did the same on my 03 Z71 Suburban Tuesday. Second time for the driver side and once on the passengerside. Bought the lifetime warrany bearing at Oreillys the first time and kept exchanging for warranty so I got my money out of the first one;)

Make sure you torque them correctly. When I changed out the driverside it was missing one of the three bolts so I got find one of those.
