Steering Column
 

I did a quick search on the internet and couldn't find any answers so here we go. I'm getting the motor and tranny out of a 1957 chevy 1/2ton this Friday and the guy told me I could have the steering column too as it is a 3 on the tree. My question is will the 57 column fit in my 47 3/4ton? I've looked at some pictures and they look fairly similar, just wondering if anyone else has tried this before.
