Oil Pressure Gauge Question

Good morning folks - my oil pressure gauge (1980 K10 w/79 350 L82) sits straight up at 30 when cold, even if sitting for a week. When running, it pegs at 60.

Is this likely a bad gauge, or is there a way to calibrate these so it starts at zero?

Really appreciate your thoughts.

Sounds normal to me. When you say it pegs at sixty is that when your driving?

Actually as soon as I start the truck it jumps to 60 and stays there. I am more used to seeing a pressure gauge at zero and going to 30 when the engine is running?

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge Question

Just means u have good oil pressure, after it warms it should go down to 30 35 and go up when u hit the gas.
