67 build
1 Attachment(s)
Thought I would start a build thread, it never crossed my mind to do one till i started reading everyone's threads. here is my story I bought my 67 3 years ago with the idea of driving it and just doing some small upgrades like disc brake conversion lowering springs things like that. That did not happen,"I want a truck I don't have to do much to".Famous last words. This is the truck I started with. I will post more details later.

I'll start the story here. Three days after I get her home the trouble started the 454 decides to drop a valve in # 3 cylinder. so out comes the motor for the first rebuild. The build goes well dyno'ed out better than expected everthing was great, then the trouble started after 11 miles the cam broke and I got to rebuild it again yea!! Now it is a new rebuilt roller motor with 525hp and 630 ftlb of torque.

We blew it all apart and started putting together a parts list of what I wanted. I went with parts from Wilwood,Porterbuilt, CPP, POL, In-line tube, sheet metal from Kenny's trucks and Paul's GMC and Boyd's welding.

I decided to go restomod on the truck so I ordered some Porterbuilt 3" lowering rear trailing arm, shock relocaters and two pice c-notch.Wilwood brakes and some lowering springs and upper control arms from CPP and lower control arms from POL. It's down 5" in front and 7" in the rear.

After some cleaning and painting the frame and powder coating some parts we mocked it all up to make sure everything fit, then we took it apart for paint.
