Victory red paint
Anybody have this color on their truck, if so please post it up. I am looking at getting my truck painted solid VICTORY RED. Would really like to see one.

Re: Victory red paint
I hope you're ready to see how much it costs. Reds are the most expensive colors due to the amount of colored pigments in them.

Re: Victory red paint
I'm not sure you are going to be able to distinguish between the finer shades of red via a computer monitor.
At any rate, here is Code 72 Apple Red (not what you asked for, I know) but in base coat/clear coat: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...k/100_8038.jpg http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/...k29SE09004.jpg Code 72 was originally high solid enamel in '87; this also gives you an idea of the solid paint scheme. Re: Victory red paint
It looks as though the Victory Red is just a shade darker ?, I am painting it RED because its majority red now and I don't want to go through a color change, been there and done that... I have a friend that is painting it, yes I seen his truck that he just painted. He said around 1500 but that is just wrong considering HOW MUCH RED PAINT IS. He said he already has it, I don't know why and where he ALREADY GOT , IM NOT ASKING THAT MANY QUESTIONS. at any rate, I have seen his work...

Re: Victory red paint
Seems like Victory Red is the shade on the 88-up trucks. Are you putting the trim back on? If so, the red/white two tone looks pretty sharp on your truck.

Re: Victory red paint
I agree with jonboy. The red white two tone is sharp on these trucks.

Re: Victory red paint
No two tone, not a fan, unless it's on a 55,56,57 Chevy Belair. No trim, even the SIERRA CLASSIC EMBLEMS are being done away with. only wheel wells, in fact the elephant ear mirrors are gone as well. Also doing away with the cargo light in the back. Doing away with the hood ornament. Going for the old school HOTROD look. Am going to have black bedliner sprayed though.

Re: Victory red paint
If you are ditching the trim, I would do the solid color as well. Either the victory red (since he already has it) or the original apple red will look good.

Mine was painted Victory Red if I remember correctly. You guys have me wondering now because I can't really tell the difference between the Apple and Victory reds.

Not a 73-87 but my 98 is victory red. Just had it repainted last year and used a white tinted clearcoat I believe, makes it pop a little more.

Re: Victory red paint
About 20 years ago I painted a Ford Maverick Apple Red because my dad had an '87 G10 van in that color...It's an amazing color. Worth every penny.
