lmc under bed tank help
So i started installing my lmc under bed gas tank today and need some help. can any one help me with what filler neck to use? the placement
really doesnt matter for now to me i will probably just bolt it to the bed i just really need to figure out what filler neck to use. Would a filler neck from a newer chevy truck work? Also can any one help me with where the other holes in the tank for the vent hoses should go. My tank in the cab only has one line going to the fuel pump with no vents. |
Re: lmc under bed tank help
I had the same tank installed , But i no he mounted the filler neck in the bed , but it would shoot the gas out when being filled. so when it to the body shop , I had the guy put a 80 modle filler behind the rear wheel , I have yet to try it out,

To eliminate gas fueling issues your vent tube needs to come to the top of the filler tube...as shown.

Re: lmc under bed tank help
looks like the filler hose is 1 3/8 in and the vent house is 5/8 in, any suggestions on what cars had this filler neck size?

Re: lmc under bed tank help
The filler was from a Geo prism I believe, yes its one and three eights with a half inch vent hose, note the filler was cut and welded to fit my application, you`ll need to drill a hole horizontally thru the filler cap to create a vent hole sinse all new cars are not vented thru the cap, or put a pig tail vent on the tank underneath the bed.
