Installation instructions for brake lines on a 1966 C10

Does anyone know where I can find instructions for installing brake lines on a 1966 C10? I bought a front kit from Brothers, and the front to rear, and rear housing kits from POL. Neither came with instructions. I'm sitting here with a bunch of pre-bent lines, and no 'map'.

Thank you.

Tom

Without a map. The shortest one is probably the one to the drivers side front, from the T on the driver's side. There should be one going from the master straight(kinda) down to a T attached to the frame. - A crossover goes from that T to the passenger side, hugging the inside of the crossmember at the front of the engine, where there should be another T attached to the otherside of the frame. One from there down to right front and one goes to the rear.

If you have not taken the old ones off, study it and take pictures so you have something to work with.

I bought a pre-bent set from Inline Tubes and not one fit. Had to bend my own.

PS: I just saw you don't have the old ones. Are the T fittings still attached to the frame? If not, maybe the bracket is there to give you an idea. It will be a bracket with about a 1/2" hole. The T goes in there and is C clipped to the bracket.

Look for a few good photo albums of resto jobs others are doing. Usually the brake lines show up very nicely with the engine out.

The T fittings are gone as well.

This should show you how they "were" and how they were changed to update to a "split" master system. [BTW: now would be a good time to do such a needed-for-safety upgrade!] Thread kinda shows you a before-and-after, section-by-section. Should give you ALL the info and pics one would need! **Sixth pic shows only the tee on pass-side, for the line to right front wheel; there is a similar tee on driv. (symmetrically-positioned) side for left front wheel.**

Sam

I got a few ideas from these replies.

Anyone else have any detailed pics of the brake line routing on a 1966 C10?

Thank you.

Tom
