I want to raise my 72 C30. where to get parts.

Yep like my title says. I am looking to raise the front end of my 72 C30. I like the idea of having the extra suspension travel when I am loaded.I'm putting a dump bed on it, after I get the new motor installed. I pulled the old motor out yesterday. I like the way it looks raised up because of the missing weight. about 2" more in front. So I'm looking for a source for either spring spacers or new taller springs. any info will be appreciated.

2wd or 4x4?

LOL, I figured someone would ask about that. I put "C" 30. for 2wd. But not all trucks are what they are when they came off the assmebly line . Yes it is 2wd. Coil springs. I know on my 01 Dodge 2500 4wd with coild springs. I bought some spacers and raised my frontend 2.5". Since these are completly different design.I'm left wondering. I can find lowering components left and right.

Belltech make coil spring spacers.
Remember the 73-87 truck springs will also work.

Some people were using 88-98 pre-runner 2wd lift spindles on the older trucks, also.

You could always go air ride, will make it carry the loads better!

Really easy to do on a 2WD. Thorbecke brothers have all the stuff you need to do it right.

I had thought about going that route also. I don't want to get the cost out of hand. which can be done rather quickly when messing with these ole trucks. Thanks for the info and ideas.

If you want to keep the cost down you can go with a set of air helper bags in the rear and just toss the overloads, that is what I am doing on my truck.

Some times you have to ask some people think c10 is a body style and even call a 4x4 a c.Thorbecke brothers do make nice stuff but they did have a month wait for really common stuff.

When I raised the front of my C30 I used lift springs. At he time they were available through a couple of companies. I think I bought 2" lift springs but ended up cutting it down to make it about 1.5 lift. $125 and an allignent and I was done. I looked at the spacers but didnt like them. I know they are still available but the company name has changed. I will look.
