Whats the lowest you can go static??
4 Attachment(s)
My trucks almost finished and should be ready for the road soon it has torsion bars up front the cross member is raised 5 inches and in the back it has just bags and a big notch so my question is is how low can I realistically drive it? here is how its sits now

Re: Whats the lowest you can go static??
The way you have it currently sitting is totally driveable. I like the fact that you raised the crossmember 5". Really gets a critically low chassis point up off the road. Enjoy the truck! It looks really sweet!

Re: Whats the lowest you can go static??
thanks guys I would want to go a little lower but the inner fenders are causing me troubles so might have to cut them up but what do I do for hood hinges?

Re: Whats the lowest you can go static??
Honestly i like it just how it is but hood hinges can be had at porterbilt. Im sure the 67_72 ones could be modded to work or he may have some for your model. But they arenot cheap.

Truck looks fantastic!!! I would drive it as it sits. I'm not an expert on 60-66 but I think PorterBuilt has some cowl mount hinges for your generation.

Expensive? Sorta. But you get what you pay for. PorterBuilt's stuff is top notch. I totally understand a cash crunch though. I'm trying to build a Dropmember equipped 68' and raise 3 kids :)
