Floor covering for resale?
2 Attachment(s)
I'm turning a '68 short stepper. I'm undecided on what to do on the cab floor. New carpet? Black or original fawn color? Rubber mat like I assume would have been factory? It's barely better than a dump runner but new carpet so much improves the 'comfort'. We all would prefer to buy this truck for $200 less and nothing on the floor probably but if you were going for maybe an eBay sale what would you do? P.S. I'll probably do a serape blanket on the seat.

Well, Brothers just happens to have their carpet kits on sale, with 30% off--net for $190-kit is just $130. Maybe this may help you decide.

Black rubber would have been stock at the base trim level. That along with a vinyl seat cover and painted door panels to match the dash or a switch to black would clean things up.

Black mat. As a buyer that's what "I" would want. Also keep in mind if this goes on ebay expect request for pictures of under whatever you put down.

Nothing. That way the buyer can see the condition of the floor.

Re: Floor covering for resale?
It's looking like a stock rubber mat is more popular. I like that but Brother's sale carpet would be cheaper @ $129. Their rubber mat is $169 and it doesn't have the tails - and I'll need tails. LMC has the mat with tails for $149 + insulation $15.
