anyone know where to get this service manual cheaper?

Re: anyone know where to get this service manual cheaper?
I can't help you but some of those manuals confuse me. Even within the same brand of manuals they make three or four for the same trucks. Some are light duty trucks, some are for the C10-C30's, some are C10-K10&K20 but no 30 series. Why can't they just put all the fullsize trucks in one manual. Of course I guess if you can find a factory service manual then it would have all of that in there I assume.

There is a member on the forum who has dedicated a lot of time to scan most service manuals to pdf format. Do a search, and you might find the one you're looking for on the list. Best of all, it's free.

I bought the Overhaul Manual and the Service Manual for 13 and 10 bucks, respectively, last year on ebay for my 74. The Seller claimed they were new. They looked like they had been sitting on a shelf for 35 years. No black grease marks or finger smudges.
I just took my time and waited for some to come along. I wanted my own hard copies but the search may help you find some .pdf ones. |

There used to be a guy selling year-specific factory service manuals on disc, I got one on ebay a few years ago for around $35.

Mine was a deal on craigslist, I got the GM service manual and electrical diagram book for $5, the guy was in my town too! It was also the same year as my truck, 86.
Keep searching, you might turn up a deal. |
