62 Stepper on CL (not mine)

First off, the guy says its a short bed, but looks long to me. Looks very clean; how am I going to compete with that price? I would ask around that for mine half tore apart right now!

The way people keep listing, I am going to lose my shirt when I sell mine in June!

It is definitely a long bed, or at least in this picture. Maybe he has since chopped the frame and put a short bed on it. As for the price....most people can see through the BS and your truck will command what you have in it. Dont worry over what hes asking for his as to what you want for yours.

Thanks. Just stresses me out every time I see a nice 62 for sale listed so low. I immediately think that there must be something wrong with them. What really stresses me out is when my wife looks at CL and says, "Look here, this guy is selling this nice one for $xxxx how are you going to even get $6000 for yours?" At this point, I am just trying to finish it up and sell it for what I can, even if I lose a bunch of money (with the caveat that if it goes below a certain price, I am keeping it)

Mine did look like this... but now I have the front clip off and am finishing up on the engine (pulled a blown engine out of it), attached is a mockup of how it will look (it will have better valve covers on it with the same blue accent over the satin black).

I am cleaning up the front suspension and frame, cleaning up the firewall and painting it and the inner fenders and frame. I am converting it over to HEI and power brakes also. I will be redoing the bed in satin black and T1-11 for the floor.

not for nothing but your truck looks a whole lot better than the other 2 you posted. Prayers for you and your family getting what you need out of the truck.

Double thank you; one for the compliment on the truck; and two, for the prayers, we could use all of them we can get.

I traded my one-of-a-kind custom bike for the truck; the PO was selling it for $4500 with a blown 350 in it (after he dropped the price several times). I figure that I could have gotten $6K to $7K for my bike, with the right buyer, but could have easily sold it for $4500 to $5K. I was looking at the long term payoff on the truck, not expecting to flip it right away.

As of now, I have just spent an additional $1500-$2000 on it and still have a bunch of labor to invest into it. I fear that I am only going to get about $6K for it. $6K at this time will really help out, even if I did just invest the $1500-$2000 into it, as long as it sells quickly.
