Name that part

These I believe came of my 2wd 75 stepside 350/350.

They match the bolt pattern on the buckets for the motor mounts but what are they for?

I did clean them up but are they needed when I replace the 350 with my 468? Thanks

They're not motor mounts, they're bracing brackets used on '88 - '98 4WD trucks. There's a rod that goes from the corner hole back to the bellhousing/tranny where it bolts in place on each side. They're in place to help brace/strengthen things since there's not a full crossmember in 4WD trucks. The engine that's in the truck probably came from a 4WD donor...or somebody used the wrong mounts and used these as spacers. You don't need them.

Make sense now. Thanks I had that 350 in my 87 k-10 and must have confused it on the shelf for the 2wd. Thanks again

Those braces were also used in square bodies. The bellhousing dust cover will be cast and it will have two bolt holes spaced approximately the same width as your engine oil pan. Pretty sure the 700R4 and the 4L80E use them.
