Gas guage issues!!

I was driving today and this woman almost hit me so I had to swerve.. I get about a mile down the road and notice that my needle went from 1/2 a tank to just about a half a quarter. I went to get gas station and filled up but it only moved the gauge a half a quarter. What could be the issue all the connections are good and clean.:smoke:

Maybe the huge gas slosh knackered the sending unit. That would be my guess.

Look atte wires around the exhaust. Mine only read a half at empty because they were being shorted on my header. New wires and no problem
