Oil leak

1 Attachment(s)
So when I brought my truck home and the truck was running it would leak lots of oil above the oil filter. So I pulled the oil filter adapter off it had no gasket. So I went to get a gasket. Of course the place I go to says they don't make gaskets for them. So I buy a new one put it on go down the road. No leaks it's all good fast forward two weeks and its starting to leak lots of oil again from the same spot. Any guesses

Check close that you do not have 2 outer ring/gaskets stacked one atop(below)the other. If one has hardened, it can easily make you think you are "feeling" metal when in fact you are feeling hardened, mis-shaped rubber--which could cause massive leaks about 2 weeks later.
Luck,
Sam
