Wanting to get some new valve covers, suggestions?

Wanting to "change" up my engine bay with some new valve covers and looking for some suggestions.

Thinking polished with a bowtie or maybe edelbrock signature...something like that. (these are older pics, the thermostat housing is now polished and the MC is chrome).

Its a 454.

Shiny is cool but I'm to lazy to polish and deal with oxidization.

Heres mine. I agree polishing sucks. I found an old pair of Holley Aluminum valve coveres at a swap meet. I took them in and had them chromed like you would steel. Then I painted inbetween the fins to match the block. No more polishing.

I like the style you have now - maybe powder coat the valve covers orange and powder coat the tops of the fins w/ a chrome look powder? Same with the air cleaner maybe? No polishing req'd then and would be plenty durable. Of course, these are my all time favs, I stole this pic from Chad Coley (CC69Rat).

Man, I really like the way your valve covers look now.

I wouldn't change a thing. But that's just me talking.

Those polished up would probably be my favorite so far!

Honestly, I don't mind the polishing. It never gets in the rain and dirty about 4x a year, I can polish up enough for that. :metal:

Thanks for the kind words on the ones I have now. I think they look fine as well, just wanted to switch it up a bit. Maybe I could polish the ones I have or like you guys said, have them powdered.

Here's a link to the site:

.
I had pictures on "Webshots" until that site blew up.

O.k. , but I sold it a few years ago:

Fourth pic is me with John Force at his RaceShop in Yorba Linda, Ca. This was taken about six weeks after his huge crash in Texas and was his first outing after getting back home.
